We unveiled our strategic move towards a gasless blockchain future by partnering with Polygon and integrating Celestia technology, setting the stage for a revolutionary modular blockchain system named Meowchain. This collaboration aims to support the anticipated scale of Wilder World, accommodating millions of players and billions of on-chain objects by creating a blockchain that is fast, lightweight, scalable, decentralized, and most importantly, operates without gas fees. The move to a gasless system is seen as a crucial step in enabling true internet scale for virtual worlds, allowing seamless and cost-effective interactions for users.
Meowchain, developed in partnership with our sister project ZERO, leverages Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK) for its deployment, providing a hyper-scalable, ultrafast Layer 2 solution for Ethereum with the distinctive feature of gasless transactions. This is achieved by shifting the responsibility of gas fees to application and protocol providers, such as Wilder World, which will cover these costs through our Metropolis revenue model. The use of Celestia's modular data availability network ensures Meowchain's scalability and the ability to support expressive on-chain gameplay through Data Availability Sampling (DAS), paving the way for a new era of blockchain-based gaming.

MetaGravity brings to the table its HyperScale Engine, which promises to shatter existing limitations by supporting over 100,000 players on a single shard. This capacity, with plans to scale up to 1-10 million+ users, not only signifies a technological marvel but also reflects MetaGravity's proven expertise in tackling massive challenges in multiplayer architecture. Aristotelis Vasilakos, with a storied 15-year history at Kunos Simulazioni, is celebrated for his pivotal role in creating Assetto Corsa, a sim racing game revered for its authenticity and widespread acclaim. Marcus Reynolds, with an extensive background that includes serving as Director of Physics & AI for the Simbin Development Team since its inception, has contributed to over 11 games, blending his racing simulation expertise with real-world racing experience to push the boundaries of realistic game physics and AI.
Their joint statement underscores a commitment to diversity and depth in gameplay, emphasizing the aim to cater to a wide range of player preferences and skill levels. Wheels Arcade NYC
April 5th, 2024
April 5th marked a significant milestone with the launch of Wheels Arcade NYC at Manhattan's OS NYC, transforming the venue into a high-octane battleground for an adrenaline-pumping racing event. Gamers and crypto enthusiasts competed for a grand $WILD prize pool across four digital tracks using over 30 PCs and two advanced racing simulators.
Event Achievements:
Distributed 20,000 $WILD in prizes and gave away free Wilder merch.
Created an electrifying atmosphere and generated buzz around Midnight in Wiami.

Wheels Arcade: Virtual Tournament to an Austin Showdown

Our first virtual racing Wheels Arcade tournament featured incredible $WILD prizes, with four weekly qualifying rounds leading to the grand finale in Austin, Texas. Each week, racers competed on different tracks, with the fastest earning spots in the Austin final. The grand finale at Dada Lab in Austin brought together racers from around the globe for a high-speed, adrenaline-fueled competition.
Event Achievements:
Gave away a massive prize pool of 100,000 $WILD.
Awarded 2,000 $WILD to the fastest lap winner each week, along with a qualifying seat for the finale.
Provided qualifying seat winners with flight and accommodation to race in the grand finale in Austin.

During ACT I, we launched the Wilder Wheels Show, an exciting collaboration with the legendary SuperMassive and the innovative metaverse content creation studio, BasedAF. Together with Aris and the Wheels team, we've redefined what Wilder Wheels means, showcasing the future potential of next-gen content creation in the metaverse.
In each episode, we dive deep into the transformation journey of our vehicles, highlighting the evolution from OBR to FBR. We spotlight specific vehicles from our collection, providing an insider's look at the meticulous process and the passion behind every detail.
The show offers an all-access pass to behind-the-scenes action with Aris and the Wheels team, akin to a modern-day 'Pimp My Ride' meets 'Top Gear,' where you follow the creative journey from initial sketches to final design tweaks. Dev Logs
Following the rollout of Operation Domino, we have released five Dev Logs: DL5, DL6, DL7, DL8, and DL9. Each log provides comprehensive updates on our progress, summarizing advancements over four-week intervals. These updates include progress reports from the Game Studio, Wilder World version updates, recaps of live events, details of secured collaborations or exciting campaigns, and responses to pressing community inquiries. By maintaining our commitment to a monthly cadence, we have ensured that the Wilder Nation remains informed and engaged with our ongoing developments—a ritual we intend to continue through ACT II.
Wilder World Version Updates
A primary objective in ACT was to establish a consistent cadence of releases following the initial public launch of Midnight in Wiami v0.2.0. Since its release, which featured 2-player racing on the iconic 9LIVES track in Little Meow with two distinct race cars, we have made remarkable progress. We have rolled out eight subsequent version updates, each bringing significant enhancements across the board. These improvements include updates to the UI, car physics, audio dynamics, AI, functionality, environments, controls, and more. Our current version, v0.5.1, now supports up to 4-player racing, offering a selection of 10 tracks and 12 different cars, significantly enriching the racing experience.
