Super Early Access Version Updates
At launch, SEA began with a single multiplayer map, The Beginning (Construction), and two weapons: the Schmalnoy Pistol and AR (Assault Rifle). The experience has since grown significantly. New weapons, including the AR-AM, Sniper, Shozza (Shotgun), and Gator (Energy Weapon), have been added to the arsenal. Grenade mechanics were reworked with toggle controls and visual indicators, and the shotgun was reintroduced with new textures and animations. SEA has developed at a remarkable pace since its first release in April 2025, with 16 updates shipped in just four months, including both hotfixes and major versions.

5/27/2025 (Hotfix) - v0.7.04
Aiming System Adjustments
The character and weapon animations are now ignored for calculating the shot trajectory in first-person mode, so the bullets will be redirected to the center of the player's crosshair, even if the resulting trajectory is not 100% aligned with the weapon's barrel. Before, shot trajectories were always strictly aligned with the weapon’s barrel, so any animations causing weapon movements were adding an offset to the resulting aiming location, and maximum aim accuracy was only guaranteed while shooting static or in ADS aiming mode. With this change, the aim mechanic will stop behaving in a hyperrealistic way to provide a more forgiving, arcade-style system, closer to the one present in many popular FPS games, that favors a more agile, fast-paced game style.
The rest of the features that we have designed to provide a unique layer of depth and realism for our shooter system, and that will distinguish us from other games, are still kept:
Bullet Trajectories Originated From Weapons: Even though now bullet trajectories will always be redirected to the center of the player’s crosshair, their origin will still be the weapon’s barrel, meaning that these trajectories will still be blocked by any object that is in front of the weapon, for example, if the shooting player is crouched behind a wall. This prevents situations that happen in other FPS games, which calculate bullet trajectories from the player’s point of view, where a player hidden behind a wall can shoot other players just by showing his head.
Accuracy Multipliers: Accuracy multipliers will still be applied to each shot, resulting in a maximum of a 2 degree deflection of the bullet trajectory. The total amount of deflection is calculated based on several variables like character speed, stance, aiming mode, time of continuous fire, projectile dispersion and weapon’s recoil and ergonomics.
Ergonomics Weapon Lag: This system allows us to apply aiming lag to certain weapons, so we can provide more variety in terms of weapon balance, handling, and feel. Heavier weapons will have a higher lag, and they will require a little bit of extra time to be aimed at the intended target, serving this as a way of balancing the amount of damage that these weapons will deal. On the other hand, small weapons like pistols won’t have any aim lag at all, feeling light and agile.
Removed Crosshair: Crosshair is now hidden while in FPS ADS mode
Reduced Weapon Sway: Weapon sway has been reduced while in FPS ADS mode
Bug Fixes
Hit Registration Bug: Fixed hit registration bug where hits were erroneously registered on the collision capsule, which was triggering the UI hit markers without dealing actual damage.
Optimization: Game Performance: Implemented game optimization improvements to enhance overall performance, reduce frame drops, and ensure smoother gameplay across various systems.

4/24/2025
Summary
This patch introduces the new shotgun weapon, enhances the game environment with updated visual effects, and addresses numerous UI, sound, and gameplay issues to improve the overall player experience. Key focuses include refining the leaderboard, fixing bugs reported in community playtests, and adding immersive audio elements.
New Features
Shotgun Implementation: Added a fully functional shotgun, kill radius, and reload animations, enhancing close-quarters combat options.
Consistent Character Selection: Characters now remain consistent across game sessions, providing a more personalized experience.
Outside Edge Unit Hologram VFX: Added holographic visual effects to outside edge units, enhancing environmental storytelling.
Bug Fixes
Grenade Pick Up: There are inventory slots for the different grenades. However, the UI currently only shows the inventory for one grenade and there is no way for a player to switch grenades.
Issue: If you try to pick up a grenade that has full inventory, it will indicate on the bottom right of the HUD that you are at full capacity. However, if it is not the active grenade the bottom left HUD will show as if you don’t have any grenades.
Solution coming: We are implementing the “J” key to switch the grenade you want to have active so you can switch to the different types of grenades in your inventory. Grenades will auto equip to the next grenade when you run out of one of them.
Leaderboard Improvements: Fixed alignment of dot design elements in ranking badges, corrected boundary and background color issues in range drop-downs, and ensured the bottom border is always applied.
UI Enhancements: Resolved overlapping server text when changing servers, vertically centered arrows in the ZNS search area, and adjusted spacing between PING/FPS stats and audio status.
Gameplay Fixes: Removed two invisible boxes in the environment, fixed Plasma Wall corner collision issue, and corrected player level display on the Tab Screen.
Community Playtest Cleanup: Removed yellow warning messages and disabled all screen messages from the SEA Dev build for a cleaner playtest experience.
Character and Animation: Fixed issues with character gloves, naked character bugs, and missing end-game character displays.
Environment: Restored missing textures on street lamps and added new fence asset.
Known Issues
Global Illumination Bug: Lighting may render incorrectly in certain areas, affecting visibility and ambiance.
Invisibility Bug: Players may occasionally become invisible, impacting gameplay fairness.
AR Weapon Hold Issue: The AR is sometimes held incorrectly, resembling the Shmalnoy’s animation.
Falling Through Floor on Death: Players can fall through the floor after dying, causing unintended map exits.

Weaponless Spawn: Some players spawn without a weapon, hindering combat readiness.
Spawn Location Issue: Players may respawn near their death location instead of a new, safer spot.
Arm Lock in Weapon Pose: Player arms may lock in an equipped weapon pose, restricting movement.
FOV Change Mouse Issue: Changing the field of view can cause the mouse to stop functioning, disrupting controls.
